Recent City of Edmonton change in practice has altered ORCL membership swimming benefits.

On October 20, 2010, ORCL was placed in a position to make a decision regarding the free community swimming at Confederation.  Historically, ORCL paid on a "per usage" basis.  The City has recently changed the practice of the cost and it is now split equally amongst community leagues that use that particular swimming facility.  Unfortunately, with the smaller size of our community and our low membership sales, we are no longer able to financially able to support the cost of offering fee community swimming.  The ORCL is investigating alternative options to free swimming and when a decision is made, members will be notified.

However, please note that holding a membership card does allow you the privilege of purchasing a family or individual annual membership at City operated facilities (this includes the new TCRC opening January 2011) at a discounted rate of 20% and all other passes (punch passes, day passes) are at a discounted rate of 15%.

Also, please note that ORCL will be present at a Membership Drive at Riverbend Community League on December 11, 2010 from 10:00 am to 1:00pm should you wish to purchase a membership.
